Sphenopalatine Ganglion Block versus Conservative Management for Post Dural Puncture Headache in Cesarean Section

Introduction: Post-dural puncture headache is one of the frequently encountered and inevitable post-operative complications subarachnoid block. The primary treatment always considered conservative management in such instances. However, an epidural blood patch remains invasive gold standard treatment. Sphenopalatine ganglion block propounded as minimally with prompt better outcomes. Objective: To assess efficacy (SPGB) when compared to based on onset analgesia its duration. Methods: This a prospective study performed 40 obstetrics patients who underwent Lower segment cesarean section Lumbini Medical College Teaching Hospital (LMCTH) complained Post dural within 7 days. All parturients are categorized into Group A, those treated sphenopalatine block, B, where post-dural was management. Independent t-tests Fischer’s test were used for statistical analysis. Results: group A showed positive outcomes all them relieved 10 mins after (p<0.001) mean pain score, numerical rating scale less or equal 4 first 8 hours. Conclusions: could be effective first-line modality
